Battlefield weaponry config modes

Config. 1 – Arcade mode
Best for Newbies, this mode is more forgiving and easier to learn. The sensor takes hits at maximum rate of 1 every 3 seconds. The “ammunition is low” “reloaded” and “ammo depleted” sound effects on the gun are a helpful reminder. High ammo per clip allows players to shoot a lot more. Beginners can seldom aim well at first so they need more rounds to make a hit. 9 lives (default points) are set as standard, but we usually play with 5

Config. 2 – Modern military realistic mode
Experienced gamers want and need the challenge of getting realistic. Traversing open ground while under heavy enemy fire will kill in this mode, whereas in Config 1. they can take a couple of blasts and still keep going. Hits hammer home at 1 per second - so less chance to survive a strafing. Reloaded sound effect is more realistic. There’s no ‘low ammo-speak’ to give away your position in this mode! Players use semi-automatic fire to conserve ammunition. 2 default points leads to suppression, pin & flank tactics being a major part of the game. One hit and you’re down on the ground with caution. Two - you’re done & roasted.

Config.3 – Early 20th century realistic mode
Reflects typical performance of military grade infantry bolt action rifles and revolvers. Even in WWII most soldiers fought with bolt-action rifles. Again, hit capability is set at 1 per second, with realistic sound effects to suit. Keeping it authentic, ammo is limited to 10 rounds or less per clip. Slow fire rate is kept to 60 rounds per minute. Only 2 defaults = total stealth.
