From the beginning, the Bv206 was designed to be versatile and has proven so in military service. With generous power driving on all four of the wide tracks, yet exerting a ground pressure less than half of a man’s foot, the Bv206 easily negotiates obstacles like soft snow and drifting sand. It skims over marshland, climbs considerable gradients, swims without preparation and works equally well in arctic cold or tropical heat.

The front and rear units are connected by a unique hydraulic steering linkage, which gives great flexibility in all axles and extremely good manoeuvrability. The vehicle can even be air-dropped and transported by a variety of aircraft and helicopters. The simplicity and stability in vehicle handling means driver training is minimised.
The Hagglund Bv206 Personnel Carrier can carry 5 persons plus a driver in the front pod and up to 11 people, equipment or stretchers in the rear pod. A rear intercom gives added passenger safety, with adult supervision on the rear pod at all times when carrying children. Passengers are reminded of safety procedures when carrying gaming units whilst riding in the vehicle.
Our BV at Battlefield Sports NW has seen action in the Falkland Islands, and was brought back to the UK as a non-runner by the MoD. It was purchased after a refurb in 2005.
